She specialises in international litigation, including commercial and investment arbitration, and State-to-State arbitration and litigation. Loretta has worked on a number of boundary and territorial sovereignty cases, most recently the Indonesia-Malaysia Case Concerning Pulau Ligitan and Pulau Sipadan (ICJ, 2002), the Yemen-Eritrea Island and Maritime Delimitation Arbitration (ad hoc Arbitration, 1999), and the Ethiopia-Eritrea Boundary Commission Proceedings (ad hoc Arbitration, 2002). Loretta is the Managing Editor of The Law and Practice of International Courts and Tribunals, published by Brill Academic Publishers. She is fluent in Italian, French, English and Spanish, and is a regular lecturer at numerous institutions across Europe.
